HOW TO MAKE YOUR GIFT LAST FOREVER
In the event you are not aware of just how the SCARC Foundation Endowment Fund currently operates, please let us explain:
The SCARC Foundation Endowment Fund, general or named is a fund that the Foundation has invested enough money in investments that will provide income to supplement "special needs requests". A list of these "special needs requests" is submitted yearly to the SCARC Foundation Board of Trustees by the Executive Directors of SCARC, Inc. and SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc. and the SCARC Foundation Board of Trustees will grant funds in order to meet most of these needs.
The income generated by the Foundation's Endowment Funds is extremely important to the future welfare of our organization. You may make contributions at anytime to the Foundation's Endowment Fund or one of our four "named" funds:
WHAT HAS THE SCARC FOUNDATION FUNDED?
Examples of "special needs" the Foundation's Endowment Fund has funded: two wheel chair lift vehicles, therapeutic horseback riding lessons for 36 disabled children, a specialized all-terrain wheelchair, specialized computer equipment for the disabled, a computer for a case worker who services disabled through our guardianship program, a specialized medical scale for our severely disabled and a portable wheelchair ramp --- just to name a few.
The Foundation would be pleased to discuss ways you can establish a legacy of giving. The SCARC Foundation agrees that the principal cannot and will not be invaded for current expenditures and will remain with the SCARC Foundation in perpetuity.
WITH AN ENDOWMENT, YOUR MEMORY LIVES ON
No one can be immortal. But if you would like to be remembered in perpetuity, consider creating an endowment in your own name. By doing so, you will deservedly gain enduring recognition and a kind of immortality that can't be achieved any other way.
