"Focus on the Future"
Make some of your good deeds last forever. It's good for us and it's good for you. It's good planning.
SCARC FOUNDATION HERITAGE SOCIETY The SCARC Foundation's Planned Giving Program "Focus on the Future" was established in 2000 to assist contributors with various aspects of financial and charitable gift planning. The Foundation's Heritage Society was created to honor members for their commitment to people with developmental disabilities. Heritage Society Members understand the critical need to strengthen the Foundation's future by providing gifts that will support critically needed programs and services.
Ways to make a difference with a lifetime or testamentary charitable gift:
-
a fixed-dollar amount
-
annual contributions "in memory of" or "in honor of" a loved one
-
a percentage of your estate/bequests
-
securities such as stocks or bonds
-
gifts of real estate
-
gifts of life insurance policies
-
endowment contributions
-
charitable gift annuities
-
retirement plan assets
DID YOU KNOW? Realistically, without proper planning more than 65 percent of your estate could be lost to income and estate taxes at your death. Either by your choice or by default, your estate will go to at least two of the following three beneficiaries at your death: 1) your family or others you designate, 2) charitable organizations, or 3) the U.S. government. Ensuring that the maximum amount of your estate is preserved for the people and organizations of your choosing requires proper planning.
